Buff & Coat - What is a buff & coat?
We rough sand your floors surface with 180 grit sandpaper, vacuum, and apply another layer of a polyurethane finish. A buff & coat is recommended every 3 years.
Refinishing
Refinishing an existing hardwood floor consists of sanding and finishing.
Sanding Process
Sanding consists of 2-4 passes using a belt sander. An edger is used to sand up close to walls and cabinets. Followed by buffing using a 100-150 grit screen.
Finish
Choose from oil based or water based finish.
Oil base has a light honey look that adds to the beauty of the wood and brings out the natural wood grain patterns
Water based is a clear finish that enhances the beauty of the grain without adding any color.
